Oil output in Russia rose 2.5 percent and gas was up 17 percent year-on-year in the January-August period, the Energy Ministry said Thursday.
Oil production totaled 335 million tons, while gas output rose to 420.7 billion cubic meters.
Oil exports rose by 0.1 percent to 163 million tons. Gas exports increased by 25 percent to nearly 115 billion cubic meters.
The ministry expected 2010 oil production, including gas condensate, would amount to 499 million tons, a 1.1 percent growth year-on-year. Oil exports were expected to reach 250.5 million tons, a 1.3 percent increase year-on-year, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.
The ministry estimated gas output for 2010 at 643 billion cubic meters, and exports at 216.7 billion cubic meters.
